<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time required for cleaning operation for removing low-charged toner and reversely-charged toner from developing devices in a full color image forming apparatus using a single photoreceptor for the plurality of developing devices. <P>SOLUTION: A potential difference between the dark potential of a photoreceptor drum 1 and a developing bias is made different between image formation and non-image formation, and cleaning operation for moving low-charged toner and/or reversely-charged toner from the developing device to the photoreceptor drum 1 during non-image formation is inhibited in a yellow developing device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
