<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology effective for certainly retaining a folded shape of a previously folded air bag and optimizing the deployment performance of the air bag proper in an air bag device for a vehicle mounted on the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The air bag device 100 mounted to the vehicle is constituted such that the folded shape of the air bag 110 is retained by an air bag retaining body 160 arranged by covering the outer surface of the air bag 110 in a folded state stored in a retainer 140. The air bag retaining body 160 is constituted such that a film sheet in which a plurality of resin layers are superposed in a sheet cross section direction is formed into a bag shape enveloping the whole of the outer surface of the air bag 110 in the folded state and is provided with a tear line in which thickness regarding the sheet cross section direction at a predetermined position previously set of the respective portions of the film sheet is made thinner than the thickness of the other sheet portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
