<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary braking device capable of avoiding enlargement of a structure by separately having a hydraulic device for outputting braking force or an electric actuator. <P>SOLUTION: The braking device for braking a wheel 5 of a vehicle is provided with a driving force converting means connected to a non-rotation member of the vehicle and capable of switching between a first state wherein rotational driving force with the usage of rotation of the wheel 5 is converted into linear driving force to be output to an output shaft and a second state wherein the conversion is stopped. When the driving force converting means is in the first state, pressing force in accordance with the linear driving force output to the output shaft is output to a rotor 6 integrally rotated with the wheel 5, and rotation of the wheel 5 is braked. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
