<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent information leakage due to image data generated based on an original etc. and to prevent information leakage in printing the protected image data. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus generates image data, sets its usage conditions, generates a content key of the image data, and transmits the usage conditions and the content key to a license server to receive an issued license. The issued license is added to the image data encrypted using the content key, and is transmitted to an image output apparatus. An image output apparatus inputs the image data, extracts the issued license from the image data, acquires a user certificate corresponding to user information, and transmits the issued license and the user certificate to a license server to receive a usage license.
