PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for gouging which can easily and efficiency expand the applying range of gouging to a narrow part using an ordinary gouging torch. SOLUTION: The holder for gouging is equipped with: a tubular holder body (10) where a carbon electrode rod can be inserted from one end to a hollow part; carbon electrode rod grasping means (14, 16, 42) provided at the holder body and grasping a carbon electrode rod (70); a head member (20) fixed to the vicinity of the other end of the holder body, connected to the tip of the gouging torch, and having a space at the inside which receives the feed of high pressure air from the gouging torch; and an air line (30) in which one end is connected to the head member and is communicated with the space, and the other end elongates along the holder body and opens at the tip position of the holder body.
