<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game device with which even a beginner who cannot read a score can enjoy playing an instrument easily. <P>SOLUTION: The game device is provided with: a display having a screen for displaying graphics and characters; an electronic guitar 33 for playing according to instruction displayed on a display; a playing time instructing means which performs display which instructs a time and period to play on the display; a character 32 of a ball displayed on the screen in order to assist taking a rhythm according to a music to play; a rhythm-taking control means for controlling the character 32 of the ball to make an action similar to the movement of a baton on the screen according to the time which the playing time instructing means displays.
