PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately and surely select and print a required portion of a photographed image when printing the image on a surface of a disk storage medium such as CD-R or DVD. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 1 comprises a means (CCD2) for electronically photographing an object, a display means (LCD12) for displaying an image photographed by the photographing means, a means (SDRAM10) for storing the photographed image, and so on. A template for disk printing which includes a doughnut-like translucent part that is displayed on the display means when a disk printing mode is set, is included, and photographing is performed while displaying the template for disk printing on the display means.
