PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of rapidly replacing a sequencer by solving the problem of taking much time for wiring work on a facility in operation; a terminal adapter for use in the rapid replacement of the sequencer; and a terminal adapter set. SOLUTION: The method includes a process for removing an input/output terminal block from a sequencer body while maintaining wiring, by removing an old sequencer while leaving a baseplate behind, at a place where a control board in use and provided with the old sequencer is provided; a process for manufacturing a plurality of terminal adapters that can be connected to the input/output terminal block removed from the old sequencer with the wiring maintained, and a unit for construction work by connecting the input/output terminal block of a new sequencer via the wiring to the plurality of terminal adapters; and a process for mounting the unit for construction work and the new sequencer on the baseplate.
