PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide emulsion improved in storage stability, temperature and humidity stability in exposure, digital aptitude, rapid processability, radiation resistance and stagnation stability of a coating liquid, and a silver halide photographic sensitive material using the same. SOLUTION: The silver halide emulsion contains at least one metal complex represented by the formula (A): [MX<SB>m</SB>(H<SB>2</SB>O)<SB>r</SB>J<SB>n</SB>]<SP>p</SP>, wherein M represents an arbitrary metal ion or metal atom selected from the groups 8-14 and the periods 4-6 of the periodic table; X represents an arbitrary halogen ligand selected from F, Cl, Br and I; J represents an organic ligand having a heterocycle; m represents an integer of 1-4; n represents an integer of 1-5; p represents an integer of -6 to +4; and r represents an integer of 1-4.
