PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meter for a vehicle allowing sufficient recognition of three-dimensional appearance of a dial even at night or the like when it is not easy to obtain a visible effect by the naked eye. SOLUTION: An annular erected inclined plane 33a is formed on the outer periphery of a display region 31 of a measurement value of the dial 3, and a design removing section 33d formed in the erected inclined plane 33a is transmission-illuminated by illumination light radiated from the back side thereof. A light transmission section 33e through which the illumination light radiated from the back side thereof can transmit is formed in an outside communication plane 33c for interconnecting the erected inclined plane 33a and the dial 3 outside it, a reflection plane 35d for reflecting the illumination light having transmitted through the light transmission section 33e to the front side of the communication plane 33c is formed on an inside facing plate section 35a for covering the dial 3 part outside the erected inclined plane 33a from the front side. An annular clearance S for making the illumination light reflected by the reflection plane 35d go to the front side of the dial 3 is disposed between a facing plate 35 and the top of the annular erected inclined plane 33a.
