MOBILE CONTROLLER AND HANDOVER CONTROL METHOD

A handover control method in a mobile communication system for performing the handover control to switch the base station with which a mobile terminal communicates with the movement of the mobile terminal. In the handover control method, the mobile controller selects one or more candidates for the handover base station on the basis of the communication state, determines the transmission rate at which communication data is multicast on the basis of the communication capabilities of the candidates and transmits the communication data at the transmission rate to the candidates. The candidate determined as the handover base station transmits the communication data multicast and stored to the mobile terminal.
