PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial method for synthesizing a perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether in a high yield with high selectivity. SOLUTION: The fluoro vinyl ether is manufactured by the following steps: (1) Hypofluorous acid of the formula: R<SB>f</SB>OF (wherein R<SB>f</SB>is a fluorinated alkyl substituent group) is caused to react with an olefin of the formula: CY''Y=CY'Cl (II) (wherein Y, Y' and Y'' are each H, Cl or Br); (2) The fluoro halogen ether obtained by the step (1) is subjected to dehalogenation or dehydrohalogenation to give a vinyl ether of the formula: R<SB>f</SB>O-CY<SB>I</SB>=CY<SB>II</SB>F (IV) (wherein Y<SB>I</SB>and Y<SB>II</SB>are each H, Cl or Br); (3) The vinyl ether (IV) is fluorinated using fluorine to give a fluoro halogen ether of the formula: R<SB>f</SB>O-CFY<SB>I</SB>-CF<SB>2</SB>Y<SB>II</SB>(I); and (4a) The fluoro halogen ether (I) is subjected to dehalogenation or dehydrohalogenation to give the fluoro vinyl ether of general formula (IA): R<SB>f</SB>O-CF=CF<SB>2</SB>(IA).
