BACK LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

A backlight assembly and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the same are provided to remove a voltage booster, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost. Plural pint light sources(120) generate the light beam in response to the driving voltage supplied from a power supply member of the outside. Power supply lines(130) connect the point light sources to the power supply member by groups according to the driving voltage. A light guide panel(140) is arranged at sides of the point light sources and guides the light beam generated from the point light sources. An optical sheet(150) is arranged at the upper portion of the light guide panel. The power supply lines include positive and negative pole lines electrically connected with the power supply member in parallel. The point light sources are light emitting diodes for emitting the white light beam.
