Electrode carrier has a fabric material structure and a character combination of thickness of 0.1 to 1.0 millimeter, a flexural strength of 0.7, a porousness of 50 percentages and a surface resistivity of 1.0. A fiber e.g. oxidized fiber or pre-carbonized oxidized fiber is provided and is soaked with a resin material to provide the fiber supporting the resin material. The fiber is heated, pressed and is carbonized to provide the carrier. An independent claim is also included for a method of arranging a porous coal electrode carrier.
