COLOR IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming apparatus which obtains a secondary transfer image of high quality by preventing a grid electrode from being dirtied with suspending toner particles in a means for removing charges before secondary transfer, to achieve satisfactory charge removal performance.

SOLUTION: In the color image forming apparatus wherein toner images in a plurality of colors formed on a plurality of image carriers are successively transferred and put one over another on an intermediate transfer member by a primary transfer means and then toner images which are carried on the intermediate transfer member and are put one over another are collectively transferred to a transfer material by a secondary transfer means, a charge removing means for removing charges of toner images carried on the intermediate transfer member is disposed between two adjacent image carriers.
