<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove the causes of the malfunction of a machine and the damage of a photoreceptor drum, by preventing an occurrence of spark discharge at the start of the superimposition of a DC voltage and an AC voltage. <P>SOLUTION: A high-voltage power supply device 100 for generating a voltage, in which a direct-current voltage and an alternating-current voltage are superimposed is provided with an AC bias generating circuit 110 generating the alternating-current voltage; and a DC bias generating circuit 120, generating the direct-current voltage to be superimposed on the alternating-current voltage generated by AC bias generating circuit 110. The AC bias generating circuit 110 includes a control voltage output part 1111 for controlling the amplitude of the alternating-current voltage to be generated. When superimposition on the direct-current voltage generated from the DC bias generating circuit 120 is started by generating the alternating-current voltage from the AC bias generating circuit 110, the control voltage output part 1111 sets the amplitude of the alternating-current voltage to be generated to be smaller than that used during the image formation so that the peak value of the voltage, on which the direct-current voltage is superimposed, is suppressed down to the predetermined leak voltage value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
