<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method for obtaining an image of high quality by appropriately setting a toner quantity on a developing roller, a voltage to be applied to a compression roller and the rotating speed in accordance with types of sheet. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming method by the image forming apparatus equipped with the developing roller to which liquid toner with toner dispersed in carrier liquid is supplied by a toner supply roller, a photoreceptor for forming a latent image to be developed by the developing roller, the compression roller for compressing the liquid toner on the developing roller in a position before the image on the photoreceptor is developed by the developing roller, and an intermediate transfer body to which the toner image on the photoreceptor is transferred, in the case of printing on a sheet having large surface ruggedness such as a rough sheet, the rotating speed of the toner supply roller is increased, and also, the voltage to be applied to the compression roller is made higher than that in a usual time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
