PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device and an input method, in which a user can easily perform operation of electronic equipment without installation of special sensing equipment to human body. SOLUTION: When the user, for example, goes into bed, uses a pillow type sensory input device 100 as a pillow, and shifts the load position by tilting the head, any one of sensory input elements 110a, 110b and 110c is changed in shape, and this is detected to perform switching control of an image-receiving channel of a television 300 by a control box 200.
