<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load input amount from a high rigid member to a collision body when the high rigid member is provided on a hood lower surface side in a vehicular hood air bag device. <P>SOLUTION: Openings 70 are formed on a vertical wall part 28C of a front side reinforce 28 of a Z shape vertical cross section used for fixing an air bag module 22 of the vehicular hood air bag device 10 to the hood 14 along its longitudinal direction at a predetermined interval. Accordingly, rigidity is lowered at a portion formed with the openings 70. Therefore, when the collision body collides to a portion neighborhood to arrangement of the vertical wall part 28C of the front side reinforce 28, energy is absorbed by buckling-deforming the vertical wall part 28C and load reaction force to the collision body can be reduced.
