<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start an operating system even in a case in which midway stoppage of an initialization program is caused by hardware failure or a problem of the initialization program at the time of starting an information processor, or even with restrictions of function, performance or the like to enable analysis of the failure or restoration from the failure in the information processor. <P>SOLUTION: When the initialization program of ROM which is executed at the time of start is stopped, a controller detects mid-stoppage of the initialization program, rewrites the stopped initialization program to an initialization program for failure restoration, and then performs power-on and power-off of the information processor.
