<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus equipped with a threshold voltage correcting function adaptive to an increase in number of pixels and a higher frequency for an operating speed. <P>SOLUTION: The display apparatus includes a pixel-array unit 1, scanner units 4 and 5, and a signal unit 3. Each pixel 2 includes a sampling transistor Tr1, a pixel capacitor Cs, a driving transistor Trd, a light emitting element EL connected thereto, and a switching transistor Tr4 connecting the driving transistor Trd to a power source. The driving transistor Trd supplies an output current Ids corresponding to an input voltage Vgs to the light emitting element EL. The output current Ids has dependency on the threshold voltage of the driving transistor Trd. The scanner units 4 and 5 perform preparing operations for canceling the threshold voltage of the driving transistor Trd in a time-division manner by using a plurality of horizontal scanning periods allocated to rows precedent to pixels 2 in a current row, and intervals of the time-division operations are set long enough to make the light emitting element EL discharge. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
