<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the analysis accuracy of an electrophoresis device, where irradiation light is applied to the detection section of a multi-capillary array comprising a plurality of capillaries continuously through the plurality of capillaries. <P>SOLUTION: The electrophoretic device makes liquid or a solid whose refractive index is larger than that of air and is not larger than that of water interposed in the space between capillaries 16, thus reducing the amount of detection light scattered by the capillaries 16. As a result, by adjusting the refraction and reflection when the irradiation light passes the capillaries, light loss due to the passage of the plurality of capillaries is reduced, thus reducing the intensity of light applied to the sample. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
