摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a denitration catalyst for efficiently reducing/removing a nitrogen oxide from an exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine such as a boiler, a gasoline engine and a diesel engine, a honeycomb structure type denitration catalyst and a denitration method using it. <P>SOLUTION: The denitration catalyst used for reducing the nitrogen oxide in the exhaust gas using an ammonia source and containing zeolite as a main component is characterized in that an iron element and a cerium element are added to the zeolite and the zeolite is carried with a tin element and/or a gallium element. The denitration catalyst and the honeycomb structure type denitration catalyst in which a surface of the honeycomb structure carrier is covered with the denitration catalyst are provided by a denitration method in which ammonia or urea as the reducing agent is mixed to the exhaust gas containing the nitrogen oxide and it is brought into contact with the denitration catalyst or the honeycomb structure type denitration catalyst in a temperature range of 170-550&deg;C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
