<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathroom construction in which a water stop valve can be firmly held on a wall surface without need of equipping a fitting device dedicated for fixing the water stop valve. <P>SOLUTION: A bathroom counter 6 comprises a cover 14 and a support device 15 covered by the cover 14. The support device 15 includes a forward projecting support part 19, a wall face fitting part 20 equipped on the rear end of the support part 19, and a downward projecting part 21 projecting from the rear end part of the support part 19. A water stop valve holding part 27 is formed on the downward projecting part 21. A wall surface fitting part 20 of the support device 15 is fit on a wall surface of the bathroom. A cover 14 is equipped with a counter part 13 which has an upper surface to be a counter surface 45 and the rearward opened inside to be a support device storage space 46. The water stop valve 5 is covered by the cover 14. The support part 19 of the support device 15 is inserted into the support device storage space 46 and the counter part 19 supports the counter patr 13.
