PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve excellent cord elongation, and to obtain strength performance necessary for a strict requirement on a load and the deflection of a configuration of a radial aircraft tire. SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire has a tread, a crown reinforcement, and a radial carcass reinforcement, and the carcass reinforcement comprises at least one axial inner ply out of texture cords wound around a pair of bead cores, at least one axial inner ply which is wound around the bead cores in each bead from the inner side to the outer side to form an outer return, and at least one axial outer ply of texture cords extending from the bead to the bead along the return of at least the axial inner ply. Each bead has an elastic apex filler. At least one axial inner ply or at least axial outer ply has a combination cord in which an elongation percentage at fracture is 12% to <20%, fracture strength is higher than 1,050N, and line density is higher than 9,000 dtex.
