PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent overheating, to promptly solve an overheating state, to improve operation and work easiness, and to keep high work efficiency. SOLUTION: The vehicle speed control device for a work vehicle is equipped with a cruise controlling means for traveling while keeping fixed speed, and controls to change speed to a predetermined decelerated state by receiving a deceleration command signal. In that case, a cooling water temperature detecting means 27 detecting the temperature of cooling water in an engine radiator 1 is provided, and a controller 22 automatically decelerating when the detected cooling water temperature reaches an overheat area exceeding a predetermined temperature and a fixed time has passed is provided. Therefore, the vehicle speed is reduced to keep a load of an engine so as not to be overload and keep high output. Consequently, efficient work traveling can be carried out.
