PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve a broadcast content from EPG information based on user's preference information generated with high accuracy so as to automatically record the broadcast content extracted by retrieval. SOLUTION: The content recording system 1 comprised by connecting a television receiver 10, audio equipment 20, and a recording/reproducing apparatus 30 via home networking, generates the user's preference information by determining a viewing situation of the user based on volume of the television receiver 10, the volume of the audio equipment 20, and continuous viewing time of a TV content, and automatically records the TV content extracted based on the generated preference information.
