PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new apoptosis-promoting agent, and to provide a pharmaceutical preparation using the same. SOLUTION: This apoptosis-inducing agent containing a gene comprising one of the following DNAs (A) to (D): (A) a DNA comprising a base sequence of sequence number 1; (B) a DNA comprising a base sequence of the (A) in which one or several bases are deleted, replaced or added, and having a function for inducing the activity of caspase; (C) a DNA encoding an amino acid sequence of sequence number 2; and (D) a DNA comprising an amino acid sequence of the sequence number 2 in which one or several amino acids are deleted, replaced or added, and having a function for inducing the activity of caspase.
