PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an inorganic foam plate material being fire-resistant, non-combustible and lightweight and retaining excellent thermal insulation properties in uniform and simple manner at low cost. SOLUTION: The method for producing an inorganic foam plate material comprises injecting a polymeric solution of siloxane and silanolate at a required ratio by volume in a molding die of a molding device including a substrate formed in a desired size and shape by a material having heat-resistance, non-conductivity and toughness, a cover of such a size and shape that an entire upper surface of the substrate can be airtightly closed, a molding die of a tetrafluoroethylene material and formed in such a size and shape that it can be mounted in the substrate, and a molding die cover capable of airtightly closing an entire upper surface of the molding die and being jointed to a rear surface of the cover, airtightly closing the molding die with the cover, then pinching it with a pinching tool, and heating it at 180 to 350°C by electromagnetic waves from a magnetron, thereby foaming and molding the polymeric solution, and then gradually cooling the molding die, releasing pinching, and performing die-cutting.
