PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve device of an internal combustion engine which achieves weight reduction while enhancing supporting rigidity of a driving shaft by a first bearing part. SOLUTION: The variable valve device includes the first bearing part 11 and a second bearing part 12. The first bearing part 11 rotatably supports the driving shaft is made up of one support frame 27 provided on the top end of the cylinder head, and a plurality of main brackets 28, 29 provided on the top end of the support frame. The second bearing part 12 rotatably supporting a control shaft is made up of the main bracket and sub-brackets 30, 31 provided on the top end of the main brackets. The supporting frame is provided with wide front and rear ends 35 and bridge parts 36, on which the main brackets are each firmly mounted on the outside of two rocking cams per cylinder. In order to save weight, lightening parts 38 are formed longitudinally at the central part in the width direction of the front and rear ends 35 and the bridge parts. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
