摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iontophoresis apparatus which achieves a safe and stable energization in an electrode structure and its controlling method. SOLUTION: In the iontophoresis apparatus equipped with the electrode structure having electrodes and electrolyte retaining parts for retaining an electrolyte conducted from the electrode, the iontophoresis apparatus is equipped with a power source for feeding power to the electrode, a potential difference measurement means for measuring a potential difference generated at both ends of the electrode, and a control means for halting the power feeding from the power source to the electrode when the potential difference measured by the potential difference measurement means reaches a prescribed upper limit. The controlling method includes a potential difference measuring step where the potential difference generated at both ends of the electrode is measured and a power feeding halting step where the power feeding from the power source to the electrode is halted when the potential difference measured in the potential difference measuring step reaches a prescribed upper limit.
