[Class 40 (v).] A choke-capacity unit comprises an insulating or metallic screening casing containing a highfrequency choke 2 and a condenser 3 of the variable pressure type. The condenser connections are brought out to terminals 7A, 7B and the choke at 5, the other end of the choke being joined to condenser terminal 7A. A further small condenser may be housed in the unit with one of its terminals connected internally to the common terminal 7A, the other terminal being brought out separately. The unit described may be used for controlling selectivity in a screen-grid amplifier stage, or as a highfrequency filter in a detector stage, a grid circuit filter in an anode bend detector, or a differential reaction control, Figs. 4 to 10 (not shown). |
