LIGHT EMITTING MODULE AND DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING THE SAME

A light emitting module and a display device having the same are provided to reduce a separation distance between a light guide unit and a point light source, thereby enhancing the utilizing efficiency of the light emitted from a point light source. A light guide unit(110) includes a light exit surface, an opposite surface corresponding to the light exit surface and plural side surfaces for connecting the light exit surface and the opposite surface. A groove is formed at least one side surface. A power printed circuit film(140) is attached at the light guide unit and covers the groove. A point light source is mounted to the power printed circuit film and inserted into the groove. The groove is opened toward the direction of the light exit surface and the opposite surface. The power printed circuit film is attached at the edge of the light exit surface and covers the groove. The point light source is contacted with the bottom surface of the groove. A light diffusion pattern is formed to the bottom surface of the groove.
