<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline cell excellent in load characteristics, prevented from lowering of gas-generation when reacting with electrolyte and preservation property, restrained from heat generation at abnormality. <P>SOLUTION: The alkaline cell is formed by enclosing a cathode mixture containing alkaline electrolyte (A) prepared by dissolving either manganese dioxide or nickel oxide, conductive agent, and potassium hydroxide, separator, and an anode mixture prepared by dissolving zinc alloy powder, gelatinizer, and potassium hydroxide, in an envelope. The density of the potassium hydroxide in the alkaline electrolyte (A) of the cathode mixture is not less than 45 wt.%, and the density of the potassium hydroxide in the alkaline electrolyte (B) of the anode mixture is not more than 35 wt.%. Zinc alloy powder having content of the powder passing through a sieve of 200 mesh by 4 to 40% is used as the zinc alloy powder for the anode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
