PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a glass for a lamp which is almost free from the occurrence of lumps and solarization, high in UV-screening performance, and capable of effectively recycling a glass bulb with a nesa film, and can be produced at a cost not so high. SOLUTION: This method for producing the glass for a lamp comprises processing a glass bulb 2 having a translucent electroconductive membrane 5 being formed thereon and mainly comprising tin oxide into a recycling raw materials 8 without removing the translucent electro conductive membrane 5, mixing cerium oxide and raw materials for adjustment with the recycling raw materials 8, and melting the resultant mixture.
