PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encryption processing apparatus with high immunity to a DFA attack. SOLUTION: The encryption processing apparatus is configured to generate error correction information or error detection information corresponding to stored data in a register for storing a result of round arithmetic operations and to execute error detection or error correction of the data stored in the register on the basis of error verification data, and when detecting an error in the data stored in the register, the encryption processing apparatus executes processing such as execution of the round arithmetic operation, or stopping of the round arithmetic operation, or execution of the round arithmetic operation by furthermore revising the data on the basis of the data whose error is corrected. Through the configuration above, the DFA analysis cannot substantially analyze a key and the encryption processing apparatus with high security is obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
