PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-path accessible semiconductor memory device for use in a portable communication system. SOLUTION: The semiconductor memory device is equipped with: shared memory regions which are operatively coupled to a plurality of ports arranged independently of one another correspondingly to the number of processors, which can be selectively accessed by the plurality of processors, one or more of which are assigned at least in a memory cell array; and a data transmission control part where a write operation is performed through one port, so that without application of precharge and active command, a read command is immediately applied through the other one port to read data, when the access is tried as a same row address by an arbitrary processor through different ports from one another and a write operating mode and read operating mode are successively requested.
