PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push-pull lock which enables a push-pull specification mode to be switched to a one-side specification mode by an operation from the outside. SOLUTION: This push-pull lock comprises: a latch unlocking mechanism which includes a first operating piece 55 for putting a latch 30 into an unlocked state; sliding bodies 46 and 47 which have an abutting and engaging part 50 engaged with the operating piece, and freely engaged with/disengaged from a stopper 19 fixedly provided on the predetermined position of a lock case 6; pushing pieces 28 and 29 which are positioned in the lock case so that the sliding bodies can be moved against the spring forces of first and second springs 48 and 49 by the operating physical force of a handle; and a movable operation body 40 which is turnably provided on the backside of an opening 14 of a front plate 7 via a supporting body 15, and which is engaged with the one end side of the sliding body 47. In switching between the specification modes, when the sliding body is turned by a required amount via the movable operation body by the external operation, the abutting and engaging part of the sliding body is shifted in a turning direction and engaged with the lock case-side stopper, so that the sliding body 47 cannot be moved by a pushing body.
