PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation for regulating the release of lithium carbonate, capable of retarding the absorption of the lithium carbonate and simultaneously reducing the short-time fluctuation associated with the blood concentration of an active ingredient because a well-known preparation of the lithium carbonate is adopted, for example, for a tranquillizer of depression and mania syndrome, depression of cyclothymia, and chronic cluster headache. SOLUTION: The preparation for regulating the release of the lithium carbonate, in a fine granule or the like contains 8.0-40.0 kg of total povidone, 0.9-3.6 kg ethylcellulose based on 300 kg of the lithium carbonate.
