The device has a camera e.g. panoramic view camera, disposed in a vehicle interior for the purpose of dislocation by an adjustment device with multiple degrees of freedom. The adjustment of the camera takes place by a positioning by a manual force and/or by an adjustment mechanism that responds to manual input data. The adjustment takes place also by another adjustment mechanism that is controlled by a positioning device, where control data is created computationally by an optimization calculation in evaluation of actual image and/or a virtual test image sequence.
