A method for fast forwarding message and a system thereof, wherein the method includes: the control entity creates the global topology table of the forwarding entity and the local topology table supporting fast forwarding, and determines the attribute of the edge forwarding entity of the area supporting fast forwarding; the control entity creates the fast forwarding table for fast forwarding; the control entity synchronizes the fast forwarding table with the corresponding forwarding entity; the fast forwarding logic function unit of the forwarding entity forwards the message according to the fast forwarding table, the local topology table supporting fast forwarding, and the attribute of the edge forwarding entity of the area supporting fast forwarding. By using the ForCES system of the present invention, the primary advantage is kept, and the fast forwarding in the system is implemented. Since the times of table-look-up of the message within the ForCES system is reduced, the process ability of the ForCES system is improved, and the time delay of the message passing the ForCES system is reduced, and then the availability of the network is improved.
