<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoder device which performs drive measurement of a rotating body with a single sensor and one kind of scale pattern, without requiring additional devices or high-accuracy assembly, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The encoder device has a rotating plate 13, capable of forming patterns 14, 15 which are formed at a fixed interval in the circumferential direction and capable of transmitting or reflecting light, a light-emitting means for irradiating the patterns 14, 15 with the light in arbitrary area and an optical detection means 15, in which the light emitted from the light emission means 17 transmits or reflects the patterns 14, 15 on the rotating plate 13 and is inputted via slits 22 at the same interval as those of the patterns 14, 15, wherein the optical detection means 16 has the function of outputting a rotation signal expressing the amount of rotation of the rotative plate 13 by the presence/absence of the light via the slits 22, and outputting an eccentric signal indicating the eccentricity of the rotative plate with the optical intensity via the slits 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
