<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back light for a curved liquid crystal display device capable of meeting a demand for a narrower frame of a liquid crystal display device and improving uniformity of brightness in a display area of the curved liquid crystal display device, and to provide the curved liquid crystal display device having the back light. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal panel, an optical sheet, and a cold cathode fluorescent lamp are installed and configured so that a frame, the optical sheet, and a diffusion plate constituting a back light unit are in the concave curved shape with a concave curved panel, and a concave curved panel surface, a frame surface of the frame constituting the back light unit which faces the concave curved panel, and a surface containing an optical sheet surface and the tube center axes of a plurality of cold cathode fluorescent lamps are parallel to one another. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
