<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC motor drive controller in which increase in size and cost of a heat dissipation component, and short life of a switching element can be suppressed by suppressing high heat generation from one component, i.e. the switching element, and to provide a pump unit. <P>SOLUTION: The DC motor drive controller 20 is performing PWM peak current control, i.e. simultaneous control of PWM control and peak current control, in a section where PWM control was performed conventionally.
