<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for oviduct-specific expression of the objective gene. <P>SOLUTION: The DNA is present near the upstream side of 6,000 bases of an ovalbumin gene of a chicken. The method for the oviduct-specific expression of the objective gene comprises transferring a vector containing the DNA, a promoter arranged on the downstream side thereof and a gene encoding the objective protein into a cell of an oviduct of an animal.
