PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system capable of facilitating maintenance management. SOLUTION: In a communication path from a station of a telephone enterpriser to a subscriber house, the communication path from a station device 100 to a repeating apparatus 200 is connected by a transmission system A. The communication path from the repeating apparatus 200 to a terminal device 300 in the subscriber house is connected by a transmission system B. The repeating apparatus 200 is installed with a data form converting section 221 for converting a management interface and a repetition interface and a multiplexing part switch 205 for multiplexing/demultiplexing user data and management information of the transmission system B. Thus, the management information of the transmission system B is transmitted/received using a user data transmission line of the transmission system A and can be input/output from the station device 100.
