PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording medium containing a magnetic substance which is hardly checked visually from the outside and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: For example, first base paper 102 is bonded to second base paper 104 through an adhesive layer 106 composed of an adhesive. The magnetic substance 108 is dispersed into the adhesive layer 106 and contained in a randomly arranged state in the recording medium 100. The magnetic substance 108 is randomly arranged in the recording medium 100 or lined and arranged in a fixed direction according to a production condition. In the figure, the magnetic substance 108 is contained only in the adhesive layer 106 and the magnetic substance 108 penetrateds the first base paper 102 and the second base paper 104 and exists in them in a pressing process after lamination in production.
