PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive ferritic stainless steel wire for wire netting for the domestic animal, which has inexpensively improved corrosion resistance so as to suit for an environment involving feces and urine of the domestic animal, such as a pig bed. SOLUTION: The inexpensive ferritic stainless steel wire superior in corrosion resistance for wire netting for the domestic animal includes, by mass%, 0.005-0.040% C+N, 14.0-20.0% Cr, further one or more elements of 0.05-1.0% Nb, 0.05-1.0% Ti, 0.05-1.0% V and 0.05-1.0% Zr, 1.0% or less Ni, 1.0% or less Cu and 1.0% or less Mo.
