PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition wherein starch is compounded with a propylene-based resin, which can be molded while effectively controlling brownish discoloration and odor of the starch-based substance, to thereby to produce a good molded article, and to provide a molded article obtained by using the resin composition. SOLUTION: This starch-formulated resin composition comprises a composition as a principal raw material which consists of 5-95 pts.wt. propylene-based resin (X) having 110-150°C melting point (Tp) measured by a differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) method and 95-5 pts.wt. starch-based substance (Y).
