METHOD FOR ANTI-COLLISION OF RFID SYSTEM

A method for preventing collision in an RFID system is provided to effectively shorten a tag recognition time by enabling a reader to quickly and correctly discriminate information of the tags attached to an article. An initial value for the length of a bit string to be compared with a reference bit string is set(S100). The reader transmits the first instruction for requesting a signal to the tags(S102). The reader performs bin modulation and responds to the tag if the bit string after a starting position of the reference bit string is identical with a bin value(S106). The reader checks and stores a response type of the tag of each bin to a temporary memory(S108). The reader stores the bit string before the collision to a stack for the bin generating the collision(S116). The reader transmits the second instruction including the bit string to be compared with the bin value and requesting a tag ID code for the tag not generating the collision(S120). The tag corresponding to the reference bit string transmits the tag ID code to the reader in response to the second instruction(S122).
